BYE BYE, 2021

We are bidding farewell to a year full of challenges overcome, new paths taken, and beautiful moments experienced. We introduced our motto “Bring it on!” back in 2020 – but one year on, it still applies. 

Let’s take a look back over the year together:

Welcome to our new website Our website got a makeover this December. It is now more personal, more authentic, and reflects the typical WAS Germany design. You can find even more information on us, our service concept and our team – plus loads of info on events and products in the “Magazine” section.

#CallMeByMyFirstName In 2021, we started taking a less formal approach to communication and were thrilled by the positive response. We’re now happy to be on first-name terms – but only if you are too, of course.

There was a lot going on on our social media channels. You could follow a lot of exciting content – from international recipes and kitchen hacks up to product explanations and insights into our office and our work.

New faces Our team continued to grow this year with the arrival of many new faces. A total of 20 new team members have been making sure things run even more smoothly this year in all areas – from product management to the warehouse. Among them are four new trainees who are just starting out on their career paths with us.

#makesomethingofyourself We take the further training of our team very seriously. That’s why, since October, we have been offering our employees courses in business English. By the way: our team members can also get their forklift driving licence as part of our further training offers. And it’s not just grown-ups who can learn something with WAS Germany – in April, our trainee Jana organised a digital Girls’ Day for interested school pupils. The educational and entertaining programme included a digital tour, a quiz and a Q&A session with some of our colleagues.

WAS Germany’s social media wrapped Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook: 2021 was another very active year for us on social media. But we’ll let the figures do the talking:

  • In 2021, we gained 757 new followers on Instagram
  • We published 118 Instagram posts
  • We also uploaded 20 reels
  • 719 people from all over the world already follow us on LinkedIn
  • Our most successful post was the recipe for dalgona coffee
